Location

Glendale Community College is located in Glendale, California (population 200,000), which is 20 kilometers north of downtown Los Angeles in southern California. The campus is beautifully situated on 40 hectares of land on the slopes of the San Rafael Mountains, overlooking the City of Glendale and parts of the Los Angeles skyline. Glendale is a very safe, residential and professional neighborhood. The College offers a modern high-tech campus to include: library, student center/bookstore/cafeteria, gym/fitness center/track, Science center and planetarium, computer labs, health sciences building, auditorium and performing arts center. Host Families and "Homestays" available via Placement Company. Homestays will range from $770 to $945 per month depending on room and meal plan option. Also, off-campus apartments and guest houses are available in the surrounding community. Apartments can range from $1000 to $1200+ per month, depending on size and other accommodations. Student life

  • The Associated Student Body of Glendale College sponsors many student activities.
  • Activities include athletics, cultural events and Performing Arts -- music, dance, concerts, studio arts, etc.
  • An active International Student Club is available to all International visa students.
  • The College is a member of the Western State Intercollegiate Athletic Conference and offers sports in baseball, basketball, American football, cross country and track, golf, tennis, soccer, softball and volleyball.
